“My favorite! This is my Mom’s recipe, and I loved to make this when I was a kid!” ~Dan Wilson

Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa
dash of salt
1 teaspoon corn syrup
3 Tablespoons butter

Instructions:

In a saucepan combine sugar, milk, cocoa, salt, corn syrup and butter. Bring to a boil, stir constantly. Turn down heat. Simmer and continue to stir. Mixture should bubble. (To test if fudge is ready: remove from heat; spoon a sample and dribble into a bowl of cold water. If mixture can be molded into a ball and it holds it’s shape, then it’s ready to be removed from heat.) Continue to beat mixture vigorously for several minutes off heat until it’s no longer glossy. Immediately pour mixture into a greased 8×8-inch pan. Cool.

Makes 24 to 36.
