Recently, there has been much talk over highlighting and contouring in the beauty world. We can all thank Kim Kardashian-West for that one. However, very few women actually have the need, the time, or the patience to add an additional twenty minutes of sculpting to their makeup routine. And to be honest, that level of highlighting and contouring is best left to those on camera and film because it actually tends to look ridiculous in person. I’m much more a fan of a natural approach to this trend.
Highlighting and contouring is used to add light and shadows to the face to emphasize certain features, downplay others, and enhance the face that God gave you. Personally, I love to contour because I’ve got very little cheekbone definition, and it’s amazing what a little bronzer can do to fix that. In this tutorial, I walk you through a simple routine to achieve a very natural highlight and contour that is very appropriate for everyday life. Enjoy!

Rachel Weiland, Glow of Grace
I’m a happy, fun-loving girl looking to inspire others to infuse their lives with beauty and grace. As a baseball wife, I’m fortunate enough to meet countless women who never cease to inspire me. I have always loved makeup and wanted to share the little knowledge I’ve gathered over the years with my wonderful network of women. My makeup addiction and desire to inspire drove me to create my YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/glowofgrace) and blog (www.glowofgrace.com). I am a firm believer that beauty starts on the inside and a lady must always act with grace, even when life throws us those nasty curveballs that nobody is fond of. I also believe that beauty is more than just the makeup on your face or the shoes on your feet. It is about being graceful and letting the glow of grace radiate outward to create a more beautiful you.
