With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your date night outfit and makeup!  I know that everyone always associates this holiday with varying shades of pinks and reds, but lately I’ve been gushing over purples and plums.  These sultry shades are just as romantic and can add something a little different to your Valentine’s Day beauty routine this year.

When I’m in the mood for plums, rose golds, and accompanying shades of brown, I automatically reach for my beloved Lorac Unzipped Palette.  The shadows are buttery, pigmented, and extremely wearable.  Whether you’re looking for a dramatic date night look or an easy daytime look, this palette has got it all.  For this holiday-inspired tutorial (below), I paired it with natural rosy cheeks and lips for a soft, but sexy look that is so appropriate for this day of love.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Rachel Weiland Rachel Weiland is an MLB Sis, wife of retired MLB pitcher, Kyle Weiland. She has always loved makeup and wants to share the knowledge gathered over the years with her wonderful network of women. Her makeup addiction and desire to inspire drove the creation of her YouTube Channel (youtube.com/glowofgrace) and blog (glowofgrace.com). She is a firm believer that beauty starts on the inside and a lady must always act with grace, even when life throws those nasty curve balls that nobody is fond of. She also believes that beauty is more than just the makeup on your face or the shoes on your feet. It is about being graceful and letting the "glow of grace" radiate outward to create a more beautiful you.
